There may be a deterioration of surrounding bone when teeth are lost. If there is not enough bone available in the jaw in order to anchor implants, we may recommend bone augmentation in order to build back the bone.

New bone is added where it is needed in the area around the implant. This enhances the appearance of the implant crown where it meets the gum line and helps to support the implant. There are a range of synthetic and biological materials available for bone augmentation and we will go through the options with you if you require this procedure.
